Closing Of The Cycle
The Last Days and What Is To Be Done
Jose Arguelles

“How come all I see
Is the child of God in misery?”
(Song lyric heard in a hotel restaurant in Chennai, India

Message of the Time:
Let the wall fall into the moat
The civilization is in ruin
Use no force to correct things
But persevere in silence
The evil way is on the ascent
But it has no foundation
Within yourself the signs of tomorrow are ripened

Jose-13moon

When we look at our world today in the middle of the year 2010, we see something that more and more resembles the beginning of Roland Emmerich’s 2012. Devastating earthquakes, floods, an unprecedented oil spill – the hemorrhaging of the Earth – and volcanoes. Besides the Iceland eruption, on May 29 it seems three other volcanoes went off: One in Guatemala, one in Ecuador and one in the area of the North Mariana islands. Note that the Mariana volcano – an underwater eruption – is very close to the deepest underwater trench in the world, the Mariana trench. Deep water volcano, Earth’s response to BP’s Deepwater Horizon rig that blew up just about the time the Iceland volcano first went off. Choreography courtesy the divine plan!

The human experiment – for it was never anything more than that – is now out of control. If the cycle is truly ending on 21 December 2012, and something is going to happen, then what is left to be done? No one yet has stepped forward to say, “game over!” So all that is left to be done is to change our consciousness.

As we see from the riots in Greece and Bangkok, not to mention the Israeli response to the effort to get aid to Gaza, while demonstrating the frustration of the people, as always, those who hold the power, the guns and the bombs, wield and often brutally maintain the power. Retreat to the inner realms and cultivate the highest consciousness. This is the essence of the message of the time.

This is a grand drama that is playing out now. What we are seeing is the exhaustion of materialism, what the Club of Rome defined in 1973 as the Limits of Growth. I was recently on an investigative visit to East Africa (Kenya) and South India. For a counterpoint to the misery that was everywhere evident, as I was traveling through different parts of these two countries, I took time to watch CNN, Al-Jazeera or BBC in the hotels so I could follow the oil spill and witness the European union voting a trillion dollar bail out for the Euro and some failing economies. It made me wonder: Where is the trillion dollars to give every human being on Earth a roof that doesn’t leak, an actual sanitary toilet, clean drinking water and real food on the table? No, it was quite evident that the species has failed in taking care of its own and in its capacity to save its environment. What people need to understand is that 21/12/2012 is actually humanity’s deadline, and right now it would rather send a man to Mars then deal head-on with what it has created on its home planet.

So the message of the time, it should be emphasized, is not just to change but to transform your consciousness into a supermental force. The route of material evolution is over. Now we can return to the mainstream of cosmic consciousness.
Consciousness and not life and form is the essential evolutionary principle of the cosmos. As the great Indian thinker Sri Aurobindo wrote concerning this premise:
“In this vision of things the universe will reveal itself in its unity and totality as a manifestation of a single being, nature as its power of manifestation, evolution as its process of gradual manifestation in matter.”(“Supermind in Evolution”)

The power of the mind created the machine and the artificial time that governs our lives. Returned to itself, the power of the mind can ultimately heal all things. The power of a hundred thousand minds synchronized as a single planetary consciousness focused on a single point could alter the evolution of our mind and spirit irrevocably while providing us with the knowledge, insight and telepathic skills to turn our crisis into the second creation.

Such a supermental event of consciousness by 2012 is possible. It is the solution augured by the message of the time. We would then also know, that we are not alone. Cosmic civilization throughout the universe, we will find out, had been waiting for us to come upon this solution. We will hear the cry resounding across the Earth: “Welcome Home!” And we will know: Yes, we are home. A new time and a new day will dawn.

2012 – The Threshold for A Massive Alteration
In Our Psychic and Physical Existence

The following is from the forward by Daniel Pinchbeck to
2012 Biography of a Time Traveler: The Journey of José Arguelles
By Stephanie South

I FIRST ENCOUNTERED JOSÉ ARGUELLES’ work when a friend of mine gave me The Mayan Factor as a birthday present. I read through it quickly and found it entertaining, but I couldn’t take it seriously at that point. Although I had already absorbed the psychedelic philosopher Terence McKenna’s ideas about the potential for a rapid shift into a new realization of time, space, and consciousness in 2012, the prospect of a “Galactic Mayan” civilization that space-time tripped to earth to encode a knowledge system and engineer a transformation of human consciousness seemed fantastically implausible. A few years later, I was sent a copy of Time and the Technosphere by Jose’s publisher, some months later 9/11.

Reading Time and the Technosphere, I couldn’t escape the suspicion that José was on to something—that he had found an angle of approach, melding numerical puzzles and prophetic hints, which revealed a hidden teleology, opening new avenues into the future. Studying his work was in itself psychedelic, as it challenged my most basic conception about the nature of reality. I returned to The Mayan Factor, and this time I was able to enter more deeply into his way of thought. One morning in my local café, I read his proposition that the “Galactic Maya” were returning to Earth, now, as us, as we attain their level of psychic awareness and synchronic consciousness. As I considered this idea, I had the sensation of an alien intelligence and ancient sentience awakening within me.

(After Daniel meets José in Oregon)

…At one point, José was telling me how humanity would begin to voluntarily take down the post industrial “technosphere” as we approached 2012, returning the planet to a pristine garden, preferring to live in small groups, and engaging in telepathic ceremonies. I argued that this seemed impossible—that we were headed for wars and ecocide, not a return to the garden.

“My job as a visionary is to envision the best possible outcome for humanity,” he explained. “If I don’t do it, who will?” This seemed shockingly sensible to me. Most people, most of the time, allow their conceptions of what is possible to be determined by the mass culture that surrounds them. My psychedelic experiences had revealed that our social constructs were temporary artifices, and they could be reimagined and reinvented as soon as enough of us decided to take the matter into our own hands. I realized that this could only happen if courageous individuals demanded what seemed impossible in the context of their time.

I decided that the job description of visionary suited my particular talents. I would also dedicate myself to envisioning the “best possible” outcome for humanity,” and bringing it into realization. Another thing that I learned from José was the necessity to have complete dedication to the task at hand. Many people may have a great idea or artistic vision, but, when they encounter resistance or ridicule, they will abandon their ideal in order to take a safer path. José’s life story reveals a different stance, where one learns to accept and almost enjoy the gigantic obstacles encountered along the path as a series of spiritual challenges. By dealing with these challenges, you sharpen your own faculties and increase your capacities. As Nietzsche put it, “The deed creates the doer—almost as an afterthought…”

Reality appears to be an art form, where the myth-making capacity of the human imagination is ultimately more powerful than any technology or technique. José compacted this notion into an elegant formula in which “time is art.” At the same time, each one of us appears to be both a unique expression of this galactic-scaled conceptual performance piece, and, potentially, an artist in own right, able to revise the script when we discover our inspiration.

January 22-24, 2010 Conference
January 22-28 Conference + Pilgrimage to Mayan sites

“For millennia, mankind had wandered in the darkness…but now, as had been prophesied, there was a change coming…Mankind has reached a crossroads…predicted long ago, prophesied by the ancient texts, by the primeval calendars, and even by the stars themselves. The date was specific, its arrival imminent…”  —Dan Brown, The Lost Symbol

2012 is now on everybody’s mind. The release of Roland Emmerich’s film, 2012, has popularized this date on a planetary scale. What does it mean? Where did it come from?
—Jose Arguelles

The Long Count calendar from the Central America Maya started on August 11, 3114 BC and will end on December 21, 2012 AD, How did these ancient peoples have such a sophisticated sense of time far beyond anything known today and what do their prophecies predict?

“In the final days of misfortune…the end of the world shall come…there shall be no priests, and no one who believes in his government without having doubts…Blood-vomit shall come. The [feathered Serpent god] Kukulcan shall return”.
—Chilam Balam, Mayan Jaguar Priest, prophecies about 2012

Astonishingly, not only the Maya singled out this date, now looming so close. Similar Last Days prophecies are found from the Hopi, Navajo, Cherokee, Apache, ancient Egyptians, Kabbalists, Essenes, Qero elders of Peru, Subsaharan Dogon tribe and the Australian Aborigines.

Over the last 50 years, many scientists have presented cataclysmic theories of what is to come – magnetic pole shifts, galactic core explosion and earth crust displacement, as featured in 2012. On 21.12.12, for the first time in 26,000 years, our sun and Earth align with the galactic centre, the dark rift of the Milky Way galaxy.

“The Hour Is Coming, And Now Is.”
The Bible, John 5 (3)

January 2010 sees a groundbreaking conference about 2012, featuring the world’s top speakers on the subject. This gives us an unparalled opportunity to create a feature documentary for a very attractive budget, hot on the heels of the Hollywood blockbuster. The conference takes place in Cancun in the Mexican Yucatan Peninsula, home of the ancient Maya. Right in the Jaguar’s mouth!

The conference will be followed by a guided spiritual pilgrimage to the breathtaking Mayan Sacred Living Temples of Chichen Itza, Coba, Ek Balam, and Muyil led by Miguel Angel Vergara, a modern Shaman in the Mayan lineage.

“The original, literal meaning of “apocalypse” (Greek) is not destruction but “lifting of the veil” or “revelation”, the disclosure of secrets hidden from the majority of humanity”
—Dr. Stan Grof

Our conference will explore a radically different, optimistic interpretation of the Mayan prophecy. Perhaps, it refers to the end of the world as we have known it, a world dominated by violence, greed, corrupt institutions and corporations, and conflict between organized religions. Instead of predicting a physical destruction of the material world, the prophecy may refer to death and rebirth and a mass inner transformation of humanity.

The entire 5,125- year cycle – merely an instant of geological time – is just phase we’re going through. This phase complete, a new evolutionary stage will begin. This is known as the noosphere, the mind of Earth. If we choose to evolve, we can now think and act as a single planetary organism and co-create our future together. A planetary consciousness will emerge, bringing not destruction, but, at long last, universal peace.

“Congratulations—you are among a select Group of souls who won the lottery to be here, on this planet, at this time! The prize not only ensures you a front row seat but also the unique opportunity to co-create the future of the human race.
This is a time to remember.”
—Dr. Christine Page

UMA KRISHNAMURTHY, M.D.
Yoga Psychologist

DURING OUR SPIRITUAL SOJOURN into the warmth and beauty of Southern India with Drs. Amit Goswami and Uma Krishnamurthy one of our destinations will be Arunachala : “The Spiritual Center of the World” where we will enter the gateway of silent initiation.

This is a good deal more than a tour of Southern India, this is an emersion into devotional paths and initiations. Goswami and Krishnamurthy are distinguished and highly held throughout the world. They began their lives in Southern India and became a renowned scholar and a healer who hold tirelessly to their paths of creating a changed humanity through bridging science and spirituality.

Each of the spiritual centers of India has its own character and its own line of tradition; and among them all it is Tiruvannamalai (Arunachala) that represents the most direct, the most formless and the least ritualistic of paths, the path of Self-enquiry, whose gateway is silent initiation. This is expressed in the old Tamil saying: “To see Chidambaram, to be born at Tiruvarur, to die at Banaras or even to think of Arunachala is to be assured of Liberation.” “Even to think of” because in the case of the direct path physical contact is not necessary. Hence, it was no accident that Sri. Ramana Maharshi made Tiruvannamalai and its sacred Arunachala Mountain his home.

He was but a young man in his early twenties, yet Sri Ramana Maharshi had already the serene countenance and radiant eyes of a Sage. He lived in a cave on the sacred mountain, Arunachala, beside the town of Tiruvannamalai in Madras State. He sought solitude and maintained silence to discourage visitors. Nevertheless, disciples gathered round. He was already known as ‘Maharshi’, the ‘Great Sage’; devotees addressed him in the third person as ‘Bhagavan’ (Lord).

Ramana was a silent Teacher, if there was one. It would be more appropriate to call him the Silent One, for teaching denotes duality, the teacher and taught, while Ramana was, as a devotee wrote, “the Pure Non-dual Essence.” His most direct and profound teaching was transmitted in silence.

However, how many were there that could immediately hear or experience the unspoken, the unwritten word? Devotees and visitors asked questions and out of his boundless compassion Bhagavan answered them in his own inimitable way.

Maharshi Comments:

–The intricate maze of philosophy of different schools is said to clarify matters and reveal the Truth. But in fact, they create confusion where no confusion need exist. Why should confusion be created and then explained away? To understand anything there must be the Self. The Self is obvious. Why not remain as the Self? What need to explain the non-self?

–The word “Yoga” means simply “to join” the small personal self with the greater Self in order to achieve liberation from the limiting world of phenomenal existence. There are many Yoga systems or techniques for controlling body, breath, and mind. All are helpful aids, but no more than aids. One must eventually dive inward by self-questioning, self-searching to achieve realization of the Self.

But Self-Realization is not something new to be gained. For whatever may be gained may be lost. The Self, eternal and ever-present, is already in each of us; we are the Self. We have only to dispel the ignorance imposed by the Ego to realize it.

The cosmology flowing from India has strongly impacted our understanding of God, consciousness, and existence. Of significant influence are the evolved ideas of South India mystics Sri Aurobindo, J. Krishnamurti, Sri Ramakrishna, and Sri Ramana Maharshi. On our pilgrimage to South India we will visit their ashrams and centres, journey to shrines and through sacred landscapes, expand our hearts, enliven our senses, and renew our sense of self and purpose.

Guiding this journey is quantum physicist Amit Goswami, a practitioner of spirituality and transformation who was featured in the film “What The Bleep Do We Know?!”; and renown yoga psychologist and child psychiatrist Uma Krishnamurthy whose spiritual roots stem from being born into a family of Indian Theosophists. In addition to discussions and dialogues, Dr. Goswami will initiate us in quantum activism, a new integral (karma) yoga for re-establishing spirituality in our society. Dr. Krishnamurthy will lead experiential sessions using yogic tools such as hatha yoga practices, chanting of mantras, meditation, and classical Indian dance, allowing us to explore the realms of superconscious states. No prior experience is necessary and these sessions are optional.

Amit Goswami – The Quantum Activist

Scientists in various fields are leaving the established materialistic paradigm and moving toward a new science based on the primacy of consciousness. One of these is Amit Goswami, a quantum physicist, author and engaging speaker. Dr. Goswami explores the broad picture—where we’ve come from, where we’re going, and why. His knowledge of quantum science, along with his simple, clear communication and quirky sense of humor, create a mind-changing and eye-opening experience.

His presentation touches upon his Hindu background and personal journey of discovery, the scientific evidence for the existence of God, religious explanations of downward causation, quantum physics and the teachings of the mystics, the physics of the soul and the subtle body, experiments in quantum non-locality, free will and surrender, supramental consciousness and the disappearance of dualism, the understanding that Consciousness is all there is and who we really are, and what he calls quantum activism: using this new information to change ourselves and the world.

THE EXPERIMENT IN CANCUN

THE EXPERIMENT IN CANCUN

What Is Going To Happen December 21, 2012?

We hope to find out at the 2012 Tipping Point Conference in Cancun
through Remote Viewing
January 22-24, 2010 Conference
January 22-28, 2010 Conference + Pilgrimage to Mayan sites

And the way we plan to do this is by bringing in RUSSELL TARG, co-founder of the previously top-secret Stanford Research Institute’s investigation into psychic abilities in the 1970s and 1980s for the CIA and the military.

Conferees will participate in The Experiment in Cancun with Russell Targ to remote view December 21, 2012.

Russell Targ will discuss with us in Cancun his role as co-founder of a remote viewing/ESP research program for the CIA at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) during the Cold War.

(For a fun perspective about what went on with the CIA and US Army experiments and training with the psychic designs co-developed by Targ and his team at the then top secret SRI, go see the film “The Men who Stare at Goats”, starring George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey, and Jeff Brides, opens Nov. 6, from the bestselling book of the same name by Jon Ronson. Film Trailer for “The Men Who Stare At Goats” — www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4nzXt4QaYk&feature=player_embedded)

The remote viewing program at SRI did yield significant intelligence, Targ noted. For instance, one remote viewer drew pictures of a Soviet weapons laboratory, and described a particle beam weapon under construction. Four years later, this information was verified by US spy satellites. We also found a crashed Soviet reconnaissance plane, and a kidnapped General, he said. Yet in 1995, after 23 years, the viable program was dismantled by Robert Gates, then head of the CIA because of religious fundamentalist pressure.

One of the secrets to successful remote viewing is being able to quiet the mind, and then draw what pops into your awareness, Targ explained. Skilled remote viewers like Ingo Swann were even able to see things off planet– he drew rings around the planet Jupiter, and Mercury’s magnetic field, before either were confirmed in 1974. Such experiences point to a field of non-local awareness that we can tap into.

Scientific and Spiritual Implications of Psychic Abilities:
Experiencing the Future (2012) with Remote Viewing
Russell Targ

What do the healer, the mystic, the psychic, and the spy all have in common? They are all in touch with their non-local mind and our community of spirit. During the 1970’s and 80’s, Stanford Research Institute (SRI) carried out investigations of our ability to experience and describe distant events blocked from ordinary perception. This intuitive capacity was named remote viewing, and the research was supported by the CIA and many other government organizations for gathering intelligence about world-wide activities during the Cold War.

Physicist Russell Targ, co-founder of this previously SECRET psychic research program, will describe the very best evidence for extrasensory perception, precognition, intuitive diagnosis and distant healing. In the Cancun workshop we will experience many of these applications, together with the spiritual implications of psychic abilities from the Hindu mystic Patanjali, and the Dzogchen dharma masters, down to the present time, as they might be applied to expanding ones timeless and nonlocal awareness. We will discuss how to recognize the actual psychic signal, and separate it from mental noise of memory, imagination, and analysis – and why should we bother with ESP? Finally, and most important, we will have lessons in remote viewing, just as they did in the successful Stanford Research Institute program, and then use these abilities to view a specific location on the Winter solstice of 2012, a location by its presence would give a message for all to understand.

CHANGING THE DREAM

John Perkins is best known for his expositions in his bestselling book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man

John Perkins is best known for his expositions in his bestselling book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man. But there is a great deal more for us to learn from Perkins and his relationships with indigenous teachers from around the world.

Along with acclaimed teaching partner Llyn Roberts, Perkins will be leading us on a path with knowledge and heart into the ancient Maya lands of Southern Mexico and Guatemala. Here within the ancient living temples we will learn and practice shapeshifting reality.

Expedition Information

Much of what we will learn and practice with Perkins and Roberts will utilize visualizations and how to really make them work for healing ourselves, friends, relationships, the environment, and for the highest good of all life.

As negative fear laden emotions on the planet rapidly increase, with end-of-the- world scenarios, or growing evidence of a possible massive destruction of civilization’s economic, political, and environmental structures, or of civilization itself collapsing, this builds a powerful planetary vision of negativity.

It seems obvious that we must hold the ground of caring, loving, and harmonious being. It’s up to us, all of us to come together.

But how is this to be done with so much of the so called New Age remaining stuck in narcissistic dramas and dogmas of “it’s all about me.” “When I finally get myself together I’ll be getting around to helping you. I might even help you out of the sweat lodge.” But meanwhile, “I need to manifest money or fame or sexuality, or a soul mate and be really cool and spiritual and looked up to by others and appreciated for being wonderful. Then I’ll really be there for you and the living Earth. Give me a minute, will ya?”

Okay, it’s all good, but how about it being a lot more than just you and your stuff? Instead of just that rehashed narcissism, with the same old teachers, the same old books, the same old gatherings talking about the same old stuff on how you can be special, how about really using some of the old and proven wisdom teachings to help find your genuine essence of being which is inclusive of all and everything and is powered by a Higher Mind of which you are only playing your part.

The time is drawing near for a great leap into what could best be described as multi-dimensionality and the time is now coming for us to step out of our sad narcissism and truly come together to support and love one another.

So how do we do that?

What about becoming powerful shapeshifters—creators of reality through truly learning and using ancient visualization medicine?

firecircle

From John Perkins’ extraordinary book Psychonavigations we read:

“Use visualization in a positive way; be aware throughout the day of the many times you visualize and take control of these; expunge your negative visions mercilessly and concentrate on positive ones.

“We all visualize frequently. In fact, prior to doing almost anything, we visualize it. Before your hand reaches for a pencil, your mind visualizes the event. You see your hand reaching out and taking the pencil, then you do it. We have all experienced the passive movements into another stage of consciousness referred to as “day-dreaming.” Visualization, unlike daydreaming, is active. It can be controlled, and when it is, the process is highly creative.

“Not surprising, visualization is a key to psychonavigation. It does not have to include more than one of the senses; however, the more senses that are involved, the more powerful it will be. When Julio and I meditated on the slopes of Pinchincha, he taught me to incorporate smell, taste, sound, and touch into my visualizations. These lessons have proven extremely helpful during psychonavigation.

“Visualization must always be combined with a positive attitude. When confronted with a situation, some of us tend to emphasize the negative. We may have established an unfortunate pattern of visualizing outcomes that are counterproductive to our goals or interests. Once these are fixed in our minds, we may focus on them and mull them over, worrying and fretting. We may wake up in the middle of the night, overcome with anxiety and ‘stressed out.’ Our bodies, minds, and spirits can be affected. All this help reinforces and increases the momentum of the negative. Visualizing ways in which a situation may deteriorate gives energy to the negative. Ironically, we can set ourselves up, helping to assure that our worst fears will be realized.

“The best lawyers exploit such negative visualization. An attorney friend of mine once spelled this out clearly when he told me, ‘Half the battle is won the minute an adversary starts visualizing what life will be like after he loses. I’ve got him as soon as he allows the negative to invade his feelings. My first—and perhaps most important—job is to trigger his negative visions.’

“Such negatives must be swept from our minds. Expunge them mercilessly. Do not let people use you this way, and do not talk yourself into your own traps. Take control of your visualizations. See positive results that turn the negatives around. Have faith, and visualize the outcome you desire.

“Visualization can be a highly effective tool. Take control of it; use it for positive results.”

2012 AND HUMAN DESTINY: END OF THE WORLD OR CONSCIOUSNESS REVOLUTION? Stan Grof, M.D.

Posted by gsmystic on 14th October 2009
Since the publication of Jose Arguelles’ book The Mayan Factor: Path Beyond Technology (Arguelles 1987) brought to the attention of lay audiences the ancient prophecy concerning the end of the Maya Long Count calendar, which started on August 11, 3114 BC, and will end on December 21, 2012 AD, this date has become the focus of many articles, books, and of a forthcoming movie entitled 2012. Similar prophecies about the end of the Great Cycle can be found in many other cultural and religious groups – the Hopi, Navajo, Cherokee, Apache, Iroquois confederacy, ancient Egyptians, the Kabbalists, Essenes, Qero elders of Peru, the Subsaharan Dogon tribe, and the Australian Aborigines.
With a few exceptions, the Mayan prophecy about the end of the cosmic cycle, the Fifth World, has been interpreted in terms of actual physical destruction of humanity and of the material world, in a way similar to the interpretation (or better misinterpretation) of the term apocalypse by Christian fundamentalists, particularly the millions of American Christians who believe that at the time of this global destruction they will experience “rapture” and be united with Jesus.
People who see it this way are not aware of the fact that the original and literal meaning of the term apocalypse (Greek) is not destruction but “lifting of the veil” or “revelation.” It referred to the disclosure of some secrets hidden from the majority of humanity to certain privileged persons. The source of the misinterpretation of this word is probably the phrase “apokálypsis eschaton” which literally means “revelation at the end of the æon, or age.”
The purpose of this conference is to explore a radically different, more optimistic interpretation of the Mayan prophecy – as referring to the end of the world as we have known it: a world dominated by unbridled violence and insatiable greed, egotistic hierarchy of values, corrupted institutions and corporations, and irreconcilable conflicts between organized religions. Instead of predicting a physical destruction of the material world, the Mayan prophecy might refer to death and rebirth and a mass inner transformation of humanity. In order to explore this idea, we have to answer two important questions, First, how could ancient Mayans two thousand years ago predict what situation humanity would be facing in the twenty-first century? And second, are there any indications that modern society, more specifically the industrial civilization, is currently on the verge of a major psychospiritual transformation? I will try to address these questions in the course of my presentation.

2012 AND HUMAN DESTINY: END OF THE WORLD OR CONSCIOUSNESS REVOLUTION? Stan Grof, M.D.

“For millennia, mankind had wandered in the darkness…but now, as had been prophesied, there was a change coming. After hurtling blindly through history, mankind has reached a crossroads. This moment had been predicted long ago, prophesied by the ancient texts, by the primeval calendars, and even by the stars themselves. The date was specific, its arrival imminent. It would be preceded by a brilliant explosion of knowledge…a flash of clarity to illuminate the darkness and give mankind a final chance to veer away from the abyss and take the path of wisdom.”

2012: GLIMMERS OF HOPE Graham Hancock – Cancun

Throughout the world the ancient teachings of indigenous people tell of a time of great change rapidly coming upon us and that it is now beginning its planetary manifestation. The Hopi for example believe that we are walking in the last days.

Graham Hancock, who will be a featured speaker at the Cancun Prophets Conference, has dedicated his life to uncovering the great mysteries dwelling in the meaning of myths and monuments from pre-history. Through his revelatory work it becomes apparent that a warning has been handed down to us, a warning of terrible cataclysm that afflicts the Earth in great cycles at irregular intervals of time—a cataclysm that may be about to recur.

Let’s take a look at this.

From Graham Hancock’s outstanding investigatory book Fingerprints of the Gods, we read the Hopi myth that –

The present world is the fourth. Its fate will depend on whether or not its inhabitants behave in accordance with the Creator’s plans…

Graham Hancock (excerpt – Fingerprints of the Gods)

I had come to Arizona to see whether the Hopi thought we were behaving in accordance with the Creator’s plans…

The end of the world

The desolate wind, blowing across the high plains, shook and rattled the sides of the trailer-house we sat in. Beside me was Santha, who’d been everywhere with me, sharing the risks and the adventures, sharing the highs and lows. Sitting across from us was our friend Ed Ponist, a medical-surgical nurse from Lansing, Michigan. A few years previously Ed had worked on the reservation for a while, and it was thanks to his contacts that we were now here. On my right was Paul Sifki, a Ninety-six-year-old Hopi elder of the Spider clan, and a leading spokesman of the traditions of his people. Beside him was his grand-daughter Melza Sifki, a handsome middle-aged woman who had offered to translate.

‘I have heard,’ I said, ‘that the Hopi believe the end of the world is coming. Is this true?’

Paul Sifki was a small, wizened man, nut-brown in colour, dressed in jeans and a cambric shirt. Throughout our conversation he never once looked at me, but gazed intently ahead, as though he were searching for a familiar face in a distant crowd.

Melza put my question to him and a moment later translated her grandfather’s reply: ‘He says, “why do you want to know”?’

I explained that there were many reasons. The most important was that I felt a sense of urgency: ‘My research has convinced me that there was an advanced civilization – long, long ago – that was destroyed in a terrible cataclysm. I fear that our own civilization may be destroyed by a similar cataclysm…’

There followed a long exchange in Hopi, then this translation: ‘He said that when he was a child, in the 1900s, there was a star that exploded – a star that had been up there in the sky for a long while…And he went to his grandfather and asked him to explain the meaning of this sign. His grandfather replied: “This is the way our own world will end – engulfed in flames…If people do not change their ways then the spirit that takes care of the world will become so frustrated with us that he will punish the world with flames and it will end just like that star ended.” That was what his grandfather said to him – that the earth would explode just like that exploding star…’

‘So the feeling is that this world will end in fire…And having viewed the world for the past ninety years, does he believe that the behaviour of mankind has improved or worsened?’

He says it has not improved. We’re getting worse.’

‘So in his opinion, then, the end is coming?’

2012 TIPPING POINT - The Prophets Conference Cancun
22-29 January 2010

‘He said that the signs are already there to be seen…He said that nowadays nothing but the wind blows and that all we do is have a weapon pointed at one another. That shows how far apart we have drifted and how we feel towards each other now. There are no values any more – none at all – and people live any way they want, without morals or laws. These are the signs that the time has come…’

Melza paused in her translation, then added on her own account: ‘This terrible wind. It dries things out. It brings no moisture. The way we see it, this kind of climate is a consequence of how we’re living today – not just us, but your people as well.’

I noticed that her eyes had filled with tears while she was talking. ‘I have a cornfield,’ she continued, ‘that’s really dry. And I look up into the sky and try to pray for rain, but there is no rain, no clouds even…When we’re like this we don’t even know we are.’

There was a long moment of silence and the wind rocked the trailer, blowing hard and steady across the mesa as evening fell around us.

I said quietly, ‘Please ask your grandfather if he thinks that anything can now be done for the Hopi and for the rest of mankind?’

‘The only thing he knows,’ Melza replied when she heard his answer, ‘is that so long as the Hopi do not abandon their traditions they may be able to help themselves and to help others. They have to hold on to what they believed in the past. They have to preserve their memories. These are the most important things…But my grandfather wants to tell you also, and for you to understand, that this earth is the work of an intelligent being, a spirit – a creative and intelligent spirit that has designed everything to be the way it is. My grandfather says that nothing is here just by chance, that nothing happens by accident – whether good or bad – and that there is a reason for everything that takes place…’

“I think we have gone through and are going through the final stages of a very dark age, but I also see glimmers of hope everywhere I look. I see people who are no longer willing to have their thoughts and their consciousness controlled by others, people who seek direct spiritual contact, who recognize that the established monotheistic religions, whether Judaism, Christianity and Islam, while they might have been instruments of liberation sometime in the past are now primarily instruments of oppression, and hold down and repress the human spirit. And I see everywhere around me people reaching out to by-pass thatGraham Hancockmonolithic block of established religion and make their own contacts and own connections with the spirit realm. I do see a new birth of human consciousness underway. And when these things happen they can sometimes happen very fast. So I cannot rule out at all the possibility that all of us are going to be looking at the mystery and meaning of life in a very different way very soon and that date 21st. of December 2012 sticks in my mind as one that is really worth consideration.”
Graham Hancock

2012: THE RETURN OF THE GREAT MOTHER
Christine Page, M.D.
It is said there will be a return of the feminine in 2012, portrayed in the symbols of the Virgin, the Mother, and the Crone. This emergence of the feminine inherently implies a death, or diminishing, of masculine energy. According to author, teacher and Cancun Prophets Conference presenter Dr. Christine Page, this change of tides, or shift in feminine/masculine power, can be seen as “the completion of the hero’s journey.” She shows not only how the myths of the feminine and the masculine incarnation relate to our personal journey toward 2012 and a new consciousness, but also how we can use the lessons of these symbols and myths to prepare ourselves for the coming changes.

The prize not only ensures you a front row seat but also the unique opportunity to cocreate the future of the human race. Your contribution, along with that of other awakened souls, will create a blueprint, which will influence your ancestors and the next 26,000 years of human existence. This is what you have been working toward during your many incarnations; this is the moment you’ve been awaiting. This is a time to remember.
“For the first time in 26,000 years, our sun and, by implication, the Earth is aligned with the dark rift of the galaxy, the Milky Way. The path of interstellar dust is known as the “black road” by the Maya and leads us directly to the galactic center.
“According to the ancient people who observed the skies night after night, the Milky Way represents the great mother and the great serpent, both synonymous with death and rebirth, the essential ingredients of transformation. The dark rift is seen as a symbol of both the open vagina of the mother and the gaping mouth of the serpent. Whatever the symbol, the message is the same: this is the portal through which we are born, and it is to here that we will return to die.
“To the indigenous people, this center represents the heart of the great mother. It was here that king-priests and shamans would travel to receive the insights and wisdom that could be translated into reality for the well-being of the land and its people. It is seen as the portal to multidimensional reality, parallel worlds, the void, the place of nothingness and the ocean of possibilities, accessible in the past only to the elite or those in deep meditative states. Now, at this extraordinary time, its riches are available to all of us if we can step outside our limiting belief patterns and rekindle the innocence and joy that allow us to harmonize with the pulse of the great mother.
“We are like children in a candy store, and the great mother is offering us an unlimited array of goodies. Yet, if our hearts and minds are still locked into a particular paradigm of belief concerning ourselves and the world, all we will see and select are the candies with which we are familiar, and we will pass by the rest. This is certainly a good moment to take a risk.” —Christine Page, M. D.
